Job Description

Volt is hiring an Accounts Payable Administrator in the Bakersfield, area.

Must have a minimum of three years’ A/P experience in the construction and trucking industry

  • Strong full charge A/P, job costing and accounting functions. 
  • Ability to communicate effectively and interact with employees and vendors.
  • Skilled in issuing purchase orders
  • Reviewing and processing invoices
  • Processing check request, resolving discrepancies
  • Insuring credit is received for outstanding memos
  • Reporting and paying company sales tax. 
  • Calculating and verifying sub-contractor trucking time and materials. Reconciliation of various accounts.
  • Responsible for all the different DOT transportation permits and compliance records for CHP inspections.
  • Record keeping of company vehicles and equipment, DMV registration processing,
  • Air resource board correspondence and records, company business licenses, 1099 maintenance and year end processing. 
  • Proficient in QuickBooks Pro, Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, strong organizational abilities
  • Assist with other projects as needed.
