The Accounts Receivable clerk duties Include ensuring accuracy and efficiency of operations, processing and monitoring incoming payments, and securing revenue by verifying and posting receipts.  Must be detail oriented, have a minimum  of 3 years of experience, salary rate $17 an hour, Monday through Friday. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for all billing and invoice processing.
  • Manages collections and aging reports.
  • Processes freight calculations.
  • Prepares daily cash deposits.
  • Enters finalized cash receipts and updates accounts receivable ledger by customer.
  • Obtains and mails invoice copies for customers, as requested.
  • Processes credit card payments and inputs check payments accordingly.
  • Researches and process credit applications
  • Send prepay request
  • B2B collections
  • Researches and processes customer claims of invoice payment.
  • Researches and processes charge backs, returns, and bad checks.
  • Answers accounts receivable phone inquiries and follows up.
  • Calls and/or mails correspondence to customers as necessary in order to update accounts.
  • Assists with related special projects, as required.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by Management.

Education, Experience and/or Qualifications:

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, or related field is preferred or six months to one-year equivalent related experience.
  • Must have 3 to 5 years Accounts Receivable, B2B collections, and billing experience in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
  • Must be proficient using Microsoft Office, Outlook, Word and Excel.
  • Must have excellent written and oral communication and organizational skills
  • Must have strong analytical skills to solve problems and be detail-oriented
  • Must have the ability to not get easily flustered
  • Must be self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision
