Job Title: Accounts Receivable Representative II

1.Manage assigned block of business; track results.
2.Place accounts on hold when beyond the grace period or when non-compliant with payment plan. Review customers’ on-hold status after posting payments.
3.Ensure no accounts due to ship are on-hold at the end of business each day.
4.Apply payments accurately to customer accounts.
5.Send statements as customer needs dictate (i.e. chain business vs. NF store).
6.Use technology to manage deductions and skipped invoices.
7.Follow company policy guidelines and maintain SOX compliance.
8.Load new customers into database.
9.Document customer dialogue and actions in Great Plains notes.
10.Assist in training of new and/or junior staff members.
11.Observe all Company safety policies and procedures.
12.Perform all duties in a highly ethical manner and in accordance with company policies and procedures.
13.Perform other duties as assigned by management.
•Strong problem solving and analytical skills. 
•Must be detail-oriented and demonstrate high level of accuracy with figures. 
•Ability to resolve issues appropriately and in a timely manner. 
•Good verbal and written communication skills. 
•Strong organizational and multitasking skills in a high volume accounts receivable/collections environment; ability to prioritize and plan work activities, using time efficiently. 
•Strong computer skills, including MS Excel, Word and Outlook; competent to learn and adapt to new computer applications, system upgrades and other technology as necessary. 
•Ability to work with minimal supervision. 
•Able to work well under pressure and within short deadlines. 
•Ability to handle sensitive matters appropriately and maintain confidentiality. 
•Able to develop and maintain effective, positive internal/external working relationships with a diverse group of individuals throughout the organization; a teamplayer.
•AA/AS degree in Accounting or Business preferred.
•High School diploma or equivalent required.
•3-5 years of experience in Accounts Receivable, credit and collections, cash application, or billing.
•Strong organizational, computer, communication, analytical, and math skills required.
