Job Description

Volt has partnered with a global healthcare organization whose innovations in diagnostics, medical devices, nutrition, and pharmaceuticals enable people around the world to live healthier lives, full of unlimited possibilities.  This industry-leader is looking for an Accounts Receivable Specialist to join their growing team and their north Austin location. 

The Accounts Receivable Specialist is responsible for posting payments and acting as main point of contact for customers on invoice issues and/or questions.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Process and post lockbox, ACH and credit card payments to customer accounts
  • Contact customers to resolve unapplied payments, short payments and work out payment application issues
  • Contact customers on credit balances and process customer refunds
  • Contact customer service on pricing issues and billing disputes
  • Provide invoices, statements, or other documentation to customers when requested
  • Review and release pending orders based on the account credit risk
  • Reconcile general ledger accounts relating to A/R and cash transactions
  • Reconcile and distribute daily and monthly cash reports
  • Assist Collectors with outbound collections calls as needed
  • Assist all other departments as needed

Required Qualifications:

  • Two years’ credit & collection experience
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to address customer questions and concerns
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
  • Ability to provide a high level of customer satisfaction to internal and external customers
  • Ability to make independent decisions and multi-task
  • Strong computer skills in Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Ability to multi-task

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of SAP preferred, but not required
  • Credit & Collection experience in Healthcare industry preferred, but not required
  • Associate’s degree in accounting preferred, but not required
