Our client is looking for two full time dynamic well rounded  Accounting/Collections Clerks, that will bring energy, excitement, and excellent follow through to the finance/accounting department.

This position is responsible for maintaining accurate and efficient record keeping to support  customer transactions. This is a highly accountable position that requires accurate and efficient handling of cash and collections records as well as  timely  review and take action on issues identified by internal drivers during delivery transactions. Timely and accurate reporting of customer payments is critical to maintaining the open order pipeline.

Essential Functions & Duties

  • Assume the responsibility for the accurate entry of customer collection records
  • Track customer terms and collections status   .
  • Assist in preparation of Driver Tally Sheets and communication about payments due. 
  • Count and tabulate driver collections.
  • Utilize  inhouse reporting tools to ensure accurate and up to date tallies of customer outstanding payments are communicated to Sales, Operations and Finance
  • Coordinate with transportation, warehouse, accounting, and sales as needed to address  Driver feedback .
  • Safeguard confidential information and only use it or disclose it as expressly authorized or specifically required in the course of performing job duties.

Qualifications and Skills

  • High School Education, GED, or equivalent
  • 1-2 years  accounting  or office management experience or other related business experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Applications including Excel, Word & Outlook
  • SAP Business One experience a plus
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced startup environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and work on deadline
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Pleasant phone demeanor
  • Ability to type 40+ wpm and baseline ability to 10-key by touch
  • Ability to ascend/descend stairs
  • Ability to lift and move up to 35 lbs. occasionally
