Job Description

JOB SUMMARY:  Production Administrator will support production departmental clerical, data entry and special projects tasks covering a multiple shift operation.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Effectively collect, capture and compute daily key production metrics.
  • Ensure data accuracy/integrity of labor reports & job costing.
  • Edit payroll clock-in information containing mistakes such as missed punch-ins within established procedures and applicable labor laws.
  • Create and update job/die-number database containing job specific “best practices” information and/or job problem histories & resolutions as part of a continual improvement and job knowledge retention project.
  • Accurately (digitally) update tooling locations database, tooling status reporting and tooling-inspection-reporting.
  • Provide clerical and administration support for shipping and outside process flow.
  •  Assist Production Managers, Supervisors in conjunction with Human resources department, in developing & maintaining an “Employee skills qualification & training Matrix”.
  • Help hourly production employees in need of assistance in completing “self evaluation forms” or other forms as required by the Human Resources department.
  • Participate in total quality management projects to achieve continuous improvement.
  • Participate in LEAN manufacturing, reduce waste, identify paper-work reduction initiatives to streamline the way the Production Department collects and utilizes information.
  • Maintain an acceptable attendance record.
  • Report any safety or quality concerns immediately to the department manager.
  • Comply with all APP, Inc. safety rules and company policies.
  • Ensure any accident or injury is promptly reported.
  • Wear proper Personal Protection Equipment in work area at all times.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education and/or Experience

  • High School or equivalent /some college a plus.
  • 2+ years of clerical experience/ human resources or light accounting experience is a plus.
  • 1+ year in a manufacturing setting
  • Advanced computer literacy. Microsoft Office, Excel, Power-Point. Manufacturing ERP system experience.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES

  • Proficient English (reading, writing, verbal and comprehend) Bilingual Spanish a plus.
  • Advanced computer literacy. Microsoft Office, Excel, Power-Point. Manufacturing ERP system experience.
  • Able to work in a demanding fast paced environment.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

In lieu of the above, any equivalent combination of training and experience that provides the aforementioned knowledge, abilities, and skills may be considered at the Company’s discretion.
