Administrative Assistant – Corporate Services Department

**Direct Hire**

$22.00-$25.00 DOE

Monday – Friday – shift flexible to work hours between 7 am – 5 pm.

Volt is looking for a Full-Time Administrative Assistant for our client’s Corporate Services Department.  This is a direct hire position!   Their beautiful corporate office is located in Downtown Portland, Oregon.

Job Responsibilities/Duties:

  • This person will be primarily responsible for supporting the administrative tasks and responsibilities of the Corporate Services Group.
  • The majority of work will most likely be trouble shooting their freight forwarding software program.  Training will be provided.
  • At a later date, this person could become more involved with government agencies such as the TSA, U.S. Customs, Bureau of the Census, as well as several others. 
  • This person must be a quick learner, possess strong attention to detail, and be able to juggle several tasks at once.
  • This person should also have good verbal, written, and interpretive skills and have general computer skills including the use of Microsoft Excel and Word. 
  • Data Entry into multiple applications
  • Troubleshooting of issues in their Freight Forwarding Software (will be trained)
  • Research of records to ensure correct
  • Follow-up on insurance claims

Administrative Assistant – Corporate Services Department Qualifications:

  • A minimum of three (3+) years’ experience in the transportation industry is (preferred but note required).
  • Demonstrated Intermediate/Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook)
  • Knowledge of SharePoint is a definite plus.
  • Experience in Logistic's preferred.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Advanced internet research skills.
  • Quick learner, juggle a lot of tasks.
  • Detail oriented with professional demeanor.
  • Willing to take direction from others, good listener, attention to detail, willing to ask questions, comfortable in a fast-paced environment and work under tight deadlines.
  • Pre-employment screenings.


  • Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
