Volt Workforce Solutions is actively recruiting for an Administrative Assistant.

Job Summary:

Responsible for the administration of projects and or processes specific to the branch office including payroll, benefits, orientation, on boarding, or other support functions.  May serve as administrative liaison with others within and outside the company regarding administrative issues.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with corporate operating policies
  • Support management in the execution and completion of immediate work priorities
  • Maintain close visibility of workload priorities, schedules and projects
  • Assist in facilitating continuous improvements to promote optimum achievement of departmental goals and objectives
  • Review, evaluate, and develop policies and procedures which will provide effective and expeditious workflow
  • Analyze and standardize procedures to improve efficiency of subordinates
  • Issue written and oral instructions, assign duties and examine work for accuracy
  • Plan, organize and supervise support and administrative activities, processes, and procedures
  • Maintain files, databases, departmental operational information including expense records and equipment usage
  • Compose reports, correspondence and memorandums for manager and corporate office
  • Monitor projects, track progress, report findings to management
  • Contribute to planning and scheduling of projects, division goals, training and defining new processes and improvements
  • Prepare budgetary, payroll, and other business reports
  • Maintain applicable reports, records and systems (manual and computerized)
  • Perform other job-related duties as required
  • Ability to arrive to work at a specified time
  • Attendance is an essential function of the job


Additional Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform special assignments/complete projects as needed


Position Qualifications: Any combination of education and experience providing the required skill and knowledge for successful performance would be qualifying.  Typical qualifications would be equivalent to:

  • Two years experience in office administration, HR, and or payroll
  • Associate’s Degree or Bachelor’s Degree in comparable field preferred.  An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.


Knowledge & Skills:

  • Effectively communicate in writing
  • Effectively communicate verbally including by telephone
  • Effectively communicate in-person with internal staff, external customers, and field employees
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency with MS Office applications
  • High level of motivation with excellent follow-through
  • Flexibility to deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events
