Position Overview

The Admissions Advisor works closely with other Advisors, the Assistant Dean of Admissions, and the Dean of Admissions to qualify and enroll prospective students.

General duties and qualifications include:

•             Development of referral prospects.

•             Comfortable discussing ACHS funding options including in-house installment programs.

•             Work with prospective students and evaluates applications based on the applicant’s qualifications, needs, desires, interests, motivations, and commitments, and in accordance with all school and company policies and procedures, all applicable federal and state regulations and all accrediting agencies’ standards and requirements.

•             Present information in a factual and ethical manner to prospective students and others regarding the school’s programs and tuition and fee schedules, refund policy, payment plans and other college policies and procedures which affect students.

•             Complete and maintain all required paperwork and data entry in an accurate and timely manner.

•             Maintain enrollments through effective follow-up procedures.

•             Accurate record keeping in regard to leads and activity.

•             Communicate and verify criteria for admission to the school.

•             Assist prospective students in completing the admissions process in the most efficient and supportive manner.

•             Assist students with finalization of enrollment process and starting date with the school.

•             Occasionally represent school at various open houses or weekend events. Must be available to work evenings and weekends as needed.

•             Develop an ongoing relationship with the prospective student from enrollment through graduation

•             Attend weekly staff meetings.

•             Attend training meetings as scheduled.

•             Participate in college sponsored events and activities.

•             Perform 40-60 outbound calls on a daily basis.

•             Utilize accepted and ethical enrollment practices.

•             Professionally represent the college.

•             Submit timely and accurate reports.

Education + Requirements:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree
  • Previous Customer Service Experience
  • Proficient Macintosh computer skills including the Microsoft Office suite, website applications, and student information systems.
  • Ability to deal with highly confidential and sensitive material.
  • Exemplary interpersonal/customer service skills and positive attitude.
  • Experience with social media and other recruitment technology including text messaging and mobile apps.
