We are looking to hire a few Aerospace Assemblers to work at our Clients' facility in Oakville, ON for approximately a 5 months assignment with the possibility of extension through our Company Volt Workforce Solutions Canada. There are multiple shifts available, so please review and select a shift when applying.

Job Description:

  • Pay Rate: $32/hr (T4) + benefits available
    • + 6.25%/hr for the Weekend Day shift premium (6am to 6pm) Friday, Saturday, Sunday
    • + 6.25%/hr + $1.44/hr for the Weekend Night shift premium (6pm to 6am) Friday, Saturday, Sunday
    • + $1.44/hr for the Weekday Night shift premium (11pm - 7am) Sunday Night through Friday Morning
  • Shifts available:   
    • 2 Openings for the Weekend Days shift (6am to 6pm) Friday, Saturday, Sunday
    • 2 Openings for the Weekend Nights shift (6pm to 6am) Friday, Saturday, Sunday
    • 1 Opening for the Weekday Night shift (11pm - 7am) Sunday Night through Friday Morning
  • Length of Assignment: 5 months to start with the possibility of extension, starting ASAP pending background check, ITAR and CCGP Checks and Reference Check
  • Work Location: Oakville, ON L6L 5Y7

Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information


• Responsible for assembling and testing of landing gear struts and components per Client drawing and ATP requirements including hydraulic and electrical testing.
• Perform replacement / repair / retro-fit of MLG, NLG, Linkages, Actuators and LRU’s per Assembly Process Sheets, Engineering Instructions and drawing requirements.
• Perform electrical / hydraulic functional tests per Engineering Instruction and Acceptance Test Procedures.
• Work in a safe team oriented environment and participate as an active member of the implementation & execution of 'LEAN' principles.
• Support quality initiatives by performing self-inspection (SI&A)
• Perform other duties as assigned (e.g. sub-assemblies, bushing installation, calibration & shelf life activities).
• Perform other duties as assigned.


• Grade 12 diploma or equivalent plus recognized and accredited college /trade program
• Three or more years (3+) Assembly experience
• Demonstrated understanding of hydraulics & electrical control systems while being able to perform testing using test equipment in compliance with Client standards
• Demonstrated ability to follow assembly instructions and/or blueprints
• Strong communication and organizational skills

• Candidates may be tested.
