We are looking to hire an Aerospace Machine Shop Parts Expeditor (for a Night SHIFT: Sunday-Thursday from 11pm - 7am EST) for our Client in the Aerospace industry in Oakville, ON for approximately a 6 month assignment with the possibility of extension through Volt Workforce Solutions Canada.

  • Pay Rate: $20-21.92/hr (T4) + $1.44/hr for the Night shift premium + benefits available
  • Shift: Night shift: Sun-Thurs from 11pm-7am EST
  • Length of Assignment: 6 months to start with the possibility of extension, starting ASAP pending background check, ITAR and CCGP Checks and Reference Check
  • Work Location: Oakville, ON L6L 5Y7

Manager Notes: The hiring manager would like to meet with the candidates first before making any decisions. 


Reporting to the Materials Manager, as the Machine Shop Expeditor, you will be responsible for expediting parts throughout various departments within the organization. 

Primary Responsibilities: 
• Expedite parts through the shop, identify bottlenecks and explore solutions 
• Provide daily report summarizing activity for the day and any key schedule impacts 
• Support Supervisors and planners on the daily updates and part movement. Push parts on carts as needed and help prioritize certain machines as required. 
• Monitor tags and coordinate with planning they are cleared in a timely manner 
• Perform other duties as assigned 

• Sense of responsibility 
• Previous related experience in a manufacturing environment 
• Completion of grade 12 High School Diploma 
• Good knowledge of various Microsoft Office Applications (Outlook, Word & Excel) 
• Excellent communication skills with an ability to effectively interact at various levels within an organization 
• Demonstrated experience and success working in a fast paced environment 
• Successful candidates must meet CCGP requirements
