Job Description

Position Summary: 

The application support analyst role will provide application maintenance and support to the organization to minimize service disruption and facilitate operations. This role will be responsible for investigating problems with software applications, diagnosing root causes, and providing solutions. The job entails the development, integration, and configuration of database infrastructure and business applications used across the organization and ensuring that all applications comply with relevant standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned):

  • Provide second tier support for applications developed by PRA IT
  • Respond to production issues/emergencies during business hours and off hours according to agreed upon SLA’s
  • Report and communicate production issues to the appropriate individuals
  • Perform root cause analysis and provide technical solutions to production related application errors
  • Monitor routine and critical processes and workflows and proactively identify problem trends
  • Assist with application implementations and configuration
  • Assist with documenting technical and business processes including technical guides
  • Responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulations and company policies across areas of organizational responsibility

Professional Experience/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in IT or related field required.
  • Up to 2 years of experience
  • Knowledge of programming/scripting
  • Experience of Windows platforms
  • Understanding of web technology 
  • Understanding of SQL Server or Oracle database management systems
  • Client focused and support orientated
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal
