Job Description

We are looking to hire an Application/ Systems Engineer Level 2  for our Client in Cambridge, ON for approximately a 7-8 months' contract through Volt Workforce Solutions Canada.

  • Location:  Cambridge, ON N1R 5X1, Canada
  • Pay Rate: $18.57- $31.89/hr (T4) + benefits available
  • Length of assignment: Approx. 7-8 months from start date
  • Hours: 37.5 hrs/week ; 7.5 hrs per day

Job Description:


PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Under general direction, independently conduct and participate in the research, design and development of electronic or electro-mechanical test equipment or systems-oriented equipment for firmware/ hardware qualification.
  • Produce high level concepts of testing apparatus, perform concept selection and responsible for procurement, build and testing of test targets.
  • Analyze current test equipment to establish operating data and conduct experimental testing.
  • Create and analyze engineering proposals and concepts to determine feasibility of assigning new equipment or modifying existing equipment.
  • Prepare related installation, operation and maintenance specifications and instructions.
  • Responsible for prototype construction and checkout and compiling operational data.
  • Responsible for creating, populating and releasing test plan and test reports.


EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION REQUIRED:

  • Typically requires a B.S. in Engineering
  • 5 to 8 years of related experience.


DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Should have experience with different test equipment, large motors and electrical power systems. ?
