VOLT has an opportunity for you to become part of a prestigious team of professionals. We are seeking an Web Developer to work onsite at our client’s facility in San Diego, CA. This is a contingent position expected to last approximately 1 year(s).

Candidate Responsibilities

Design, code, test, and debug programs of varying levels of complexity. Analyze user needs and software requirements to determine feasibility of design and potential impact while cognizant of time and cost constraints. Performs implementation and integration tasks for medium to large, complex in-house developed or purchased software solutions. Work with vendors on integration of purchased application solutions. Complex application problem identification and resolution. Assist customers with documentation, training, and usability efforts. Prioritize, manage, and track team workload progress as required.

Typical Day

Typical hours of 8am - 4:30pm (Core Hours 10am-3pm), Monday thru Friday. Candidate to put in 40 hours per week. The candidate will mostly be working in a desk environment with some meetings to attend to.

Education Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in computer science required. Bachelor's degree in different field with computer science training will also be considered.

Technical Skills

5+ years developing ASP Web / MVC / web services solutions Proficient in object-oriented languages such as C#, Entity Framework, LINQ, HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, Responsive Web Design, JSON, REST, Webmail, SOAP SDLC - Scrum / Waterfall SQL Server 2008/2012/2014 SharePoint Design and Workflows - Preferred

Soft Skills

Ability to work in a small team environment. Excellent communication skills - verbal and written. Willingness to be involved in all aspects of software development.
