This role is responsible for creation and management of Applications Engineering function to service product marketplace and enhance CommScope’s technical leadership position with filter & TMA products.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support to customers for field issues and inquires. Be the first level of escalation within the PLM group for customer inquiries that our CTS group cannot resolve. Troubleshoot customer issues over the phone or in site as required.
  • Answer and document technical support calls through their final resolution.
  • Develop working relationships with senior level technical management and major CommScope customers to specify CommScope products and facilitate new product development and introduction.
  • Maintain expertise and market presence in network topology, design, and development.  Provide guidance to customers regarding cost effective and appropriate technology utilizing the breadth of CommScope products.
  • Develop sales strategies for advanced network solutions utilizing filter/TMA products.  Liaise with engineering and product management to facilitate development of Road Maps & hybrid technologies, where appropriate.
  • Manage project opportunities specializing in design, network performance and cost analysis.  Provide system design services to customer base utilizing external resources or internal staffing, as appropriate. Support customer trials and IOTs.
  • Maintain market leadership and presence in consistent production of trade articles, white papers, customer data sheets, web page design, and technical presentations.  Provide leadership role at standards organizations and industry councils, as appropriate.
  • Provide technical trends analysis in support of Global Marketing and Engineering/Development.

Job Specifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, or related field with 5 years of related experience or Masters degree in Electrical Engineering or related field and 2 year of related experience.
  • Must have experience in RF filter and antenna products, network design/development, applications engineering, and technical sales.
  • Candidates must also have excellent analytical and project management skills, PC proficiency, and strong verbal, written, and presentation skills.

  • Solid technical knowhow of and experience with Antenna, Filters, and TMA products.
  • Relationships and experience with our key customers and accounts in the region.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills.
  • Experience with test equipment, Network analyzer, PIM tester.
  • Knowledge in RF systems and products.
