Volt has an opportunity for you to become part of a prestigious team of professionals. We are seeking an Architectural/Structural/Civil Facilities Engineer to work onsite at John Deere’s facility in Ankeny, IA. This is a contingent position expected to last 1 year.   

Candidate Responsibilities:

  • Provide Architectural/Structural/Civil (ACS) Engineering support to manufacturing, warehouse and office facilities projects.
  • Work as part of facilities engineering team and may lead some projects including working with business stakeholders, coordinating outside engineering designs, reviewing designs, preparing bid documents, selecting contractors and coordinating construction efforts.
  • Project budgets range in size from small (~$10,000) to very large ($10,000,000).
  • Will work closely with facilities maintenance, manufacturing engineering, environmental engineering and factory safety engineers.

Required Skills/Experience

  • BS in Architecture or Structural/Civil engineering and/or commiserate experience as an ASC engineer in a heavy manufacturing facility.
  • 8+ years of experience in project management, construction management and construction administration.

Preferred Skills/Experience:

  • Experience managing multi-trade projects to meet scheduled and budgets.
  • Cost estimating experience.
  • Experience in heavy manufacturing/industrial facilities including bridge cranes, jib cranes, roofing, paving, building construction/expansion, etc.
