The Area Manager is responsible for the continued development and profitability of their organization by setting the strategic priorities and sales/service direction for their branch offices, effective hiring and continued development of area personnel.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Hiring train and develop area/branch personnel.
  • Coordination and support of all sales efforts including development and motivation of the sales staff. Handle sales for house accounts. Expanding business through phone calls, personal visits and customer lunches. In conjunction with the sales efforts, the Area Manager helps to set the sales strategy and direction for their offices.
  • Coordination and supervision of functions that ensure total customer satisfaction, excellent service and successful temporary assignments, and promote good employee relations between temporary and in-house personnel.
  • Supervision of the administrative work of the branch offices, daily, weekly and monthly reports, correspondence, paperwork initiating payroll and billing functions.
  • Coordinate/prepare bids, proposals and presentations determining or recommending billing rates for customers to obtain premium income.
  • Create Area business plans and sales strategy and drive business improvement initiatives
  • Provide effective leadership through motivation and staff development by mentoring, training and promoting staff.

Additional Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Engage in good public relations, responsiveness and service in coordination with sales staff.
  • Thoroughly orient all field employees on Volt's policies, procedures and expectations
  • Manage and hold accountable staff to minimum expectations
  • Complete timely entry of information tracking for performance measurement in Volt's automated systems. Maintain consistency and integrity of data.
  • Ensure daily open order and candidate availability meetings
  • Foster teamwork both inter and intra divisionally.
  • Perform special assignments and complete projects as needed.

Position Qualifications - Any combination of education and experience providing the required skill and knowledge for successful performance would be qualifying. Typical qualifications would be equivalent to:

  • 2 years experience in a customer service environment.
  • 2-3 years Branch Manager experience
  • Associate's Degree or Bachelor's Degree in comparable field preferred. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
