Job Description

We are looking to hire an ASIC/RTL Design Engineer for our Client in the Semiconductor industry in Markham, ON for approximately a 12 months' contract with the possibility of extension.

  • Hours per week: 37.5 Hours per day: 7.5 paid time per day
  • Pay Rate: $33.45-44.60/hr (T4 ) depending on experience + benefits available

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The successful candidate will report to the SoC DFX Design Verification Manager and will have the following responsibilities:

  • Write and review design verification test plans for complex ASIC DFX features such as scan, on-chip test pattern compression, PLLs, memory and logic BISTs, power-gating, on-chip debug logic and more
  • Develop verification infrastructure, test bench components and test cases
  • Drive performance verification on all DFT (Design-For-Test) and DFD (Design-For-Debug) structures
  • Generate and verify structural patterns and functional test patterns
  • Participate in ATE bring-up and debug the DFT patterns on ATE and platform

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • BS in EE with 3+ years' experience or CS. MS with 1+ years' experience
  • Knowledge of verilog, C/C++ and scripting languages; experience with Perl and TCL is a plus
  • - Familiar with entire ASIC design flow, hands on working experience on ASIC DFT design and verification is an advantage
  • Knowledge of UVM and OVM verification methodologies is an advantage
  • Strong analytical/problem solving skills and pronounced attention to details.
  • Must be a self starter, and able to independently drive tasks to completion.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
