Entry Level Manufacturing Associate

Located in Bend OR

Pay Rate: $15-$17/hr DOE

6+ month Position

Paid Weekly!

Day Shift: 8am to 4:30pm

Monday – Friday

Volt in partnership with Qorvo would like to talk to you about a manufacturing opportunity located in Bend, OR. Our client manufactures and tests semiconductor devices in a semi clean room environment. Qualified candidates will be detail oriented, able to follow precise procedures, and able to adapt to a dynamic production environment. Position Summary

This is a Temporary Manufacturing Assistant position at the Qorvo Bend, OR, facility. The primary responsibilities will include general support of manufacturing and administrative operations. This position works under the direction of the Production Supervisor, but also collaboratively with other departments such as facilities, engineering, quality, and EH&S. Individuals must be able to work independently with minimal supervision, have good multi-tasking skills, clear communication, strong work ethic, and work well in a small group atmosphere.

This position requires occasional wearing of personal protective equipment, including ESD protection, working in areas with constant background noise, and may require at times: working with chemicals, lifting 50+ lbs., and standing for long periods.

Key Job Responsibilities:

  1. Adhere to company policies such as those relating to safety and quality
  2. Good hand/eye coordination using small hand tools such as tweezers, x-acto knives, pliers, etc.
  3. Follow written procedures and build/rework instructions
  4. Monitor processes to ensure product fabrication is within control limits
  5. Document tool, process, and product performance with escalation when appropriate
  6. Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities
  7. Willingness to take on miscellaneous tasks as needed
  8. Drive implementation of Continuous Process Improvement (CPI) ideas

Job Qualifications:

  1. High School diploma minimum required
  2. Experience in a production environment helpful but not required
  3. Ability to operate general office equipment such as copiers, printers, scanners, etc.
  4. Computer skills for Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) are helpful
  5. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic with the ability to stay focused on simple tasks
  6. Excellent communication skills and acute attention to detail
  7. Must be a team player who works well within a small team environment
  8. US person required
