Assembler II


A local leading organization is currently seeking experienced Mechanical Assemblers in Asheville, NC for a long-term temporary to hire opportunity. Assembly positions require candidates to work with various mechanical tools to assemble products.  If you meet the qualifications listed below – Apply Now!

Responsibilities for assembler roles include but are not limited to:

  • Basic to complex assembly, soldering using keen eye sight
  • Selects and installs unit parts according to Sequence of Events (SOE)
  • Applies wiring harnesses, sensors, and other electrical components
  • Recognizes color codes and ensures all color-coded procedures meet guidelines
  • Inspects parts to ensure that unit meets specified quality standards
  • Moves and positions unit pieces manually and/or using work aids. (such as casters, cranes or forklifts)
  • Verifies that custom equipment changes have been made according to order and Smart Part Number
  • Reorders raw materials and finished parts using an inventory system
  • Requires cleaning and inspecting of parts and disassembly of returned units
  • Report defective material or questionable condition to department supervisor
  • Maintain work areas and equipment in a clean and orderly condition
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor

Candidates must meet the following requirements for consideration:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Ability to follow both written and verbal instructions
  • Ability to read, interpret, and follow diagrams and blueprints ex. Sequence of Events (SOE).
  • Ability to read and differentiate part numbers, labels, and work instructions. 
  • Good hand/eye coordination and fine motor skills
  • Able to work well independently and with others
  • Able to communicate effectively
  • Able to stand for prolonged periods
  • Able to lift 35 lbs.
  • Ability to use a wide range of power & hand tools (Drills, Rivet Guns, Hi-pot Testers, Drill Press, etc.)
  • Must possess basic computer abilities (ability to check email, complete training videos, etc.)

Assignment offers are contingent upon successful completion of pre-screening eligibility requirements

We have openings for the second shift:  Monday - Friday from 4:00 PM – 12:00 AM.

Pay for this position is $14.75 /hr. plus overtime as needed. This is a temporary-to-hire opportunity.
