Job Description

Volt has partnered with a global leader in the Aerospace industry to offer this opportunity to someone with a strong background as an Electronics Assembler with J Standard Soldering training. This is a temporary position with the possibility of permanent placement for the right candidate! Interviewing ASAP!

Position: Assembler

Location: Plymouth, MN

Responsibilities:

This position will include the building and testing of production electro-mechanical assemblies.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required

  • J Standard Soldering training is critical
  • Must be able to read and follow guild process details and schematics
  • Must be able to solder surface mount packages with the aid of a micro-scope
  • Must have basic computer skills

The ideal Candidate will also have some proficiency in the use of general lab equipment, such as micrometers, digital multimeters, micro-scopes, soldering stations and ovens.

Certifications

The ideal Candidate will have an IPC J-STD-001E solder certification or OJT on the soldering of electrical & electronic assemblies.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee must also use hands to operate soldering, lab equipment and computer keyboard. The employee will frequently walk, sit and stand.
