Job Description

?Volt has a great opportunity and we are in need of several assembly production associates. This opportunity is with a local manufacturing facility that produces specialized medical equipment. This is a  great temp to hire, long term position in an industry that is booming!!

  1. JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Responsible for assembly of product using hand tool in accordance to specification and work instructions. 
  • Responsible for training and learning a variety of workstations by following training guidelines. 
  • Flexes up/down the line as necessary. Responsible for learning and compliance to policies/ procedures applicable to the position.
  • Responsible for working closely with department manufacturing scheduler to assure proper work order scan tracking and required work order notes
  • Responsible for following department area procedures
  • Responsible for reporting on a variety of matters such as scrap, safety, training, attendance, purchase orders, etc.
  • Responsible for following all applicable safety/housekeeping guidelines.  Performs necessary preventative maintenance.

  1. REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE: 
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred. 
  • One (1) to three (3) months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and comprehend (in English) simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.  Documents may include: Material Safety Data Sheets, work orders, work instructions, manuals, policies and procedures, etc.
  • Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
  • Some computer skills are a preferred.
