Job Title: Assistant Production Planner

Location: Gilbert, AZ

Job Description

The chosen candidate will work with the Production Planner to execute the production activities required to build spaceflight hardware meeting the delivery requirements per the integrated master schedule (IMS).

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
 

  • Help determine raw material requirements, tooling requirements, and the procurement of these items to support the program manufacturing schedule
  • Coordinate the procurement and/or transfer of parts to fill work orders and supply the necessary documentation to inventory for the issue of parts and materials for build requirements
  • Prepare the manufacturing build documentation (build packages) to support manufacturing production. Build documentation includes Work Authorization Forms, Manufacturing Orders, operation sheets, routers, work instructions, and all necessary released design documentation required to manufacture the item
  • Monitor production activities associated with the manufacture, inspection, and test of product
  • Coordinate shipping activities and monitor potential scheduling problems to ensure a smooth and controlled flow of materials and product accurately timed to meet production schedule and program requirements

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS
 

  • MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc) expertise
  • Minimum 4 years related experience
  • Familiar with logistics planning software
  • Familiar with accounting software.
  • TipQA, Costpoint, Windchill, MES, Solumina, and Cognos experience preferred


EDUCATION
High School Diploma and some additional coursework required. Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations, or Project management will be considered equivalent job-related experience.
