Purpose

Under supervision of Part Manager, the Asst Parts Manager oversees the parts department personnel and warehouse personnel, facilitating departmental reports such as back order, fill ratio, inventory orders, etc. Customer service skills and technical knowledge when it comes to parts is a must. Computer proficiency is also required as you will be utilizing excel and the company database on a daily basis.  MUST HAVE CONSTRUCTION EQUIPMENT EXPERIENCE!

Office hours are M-F 8am – 5pm.

Duties

  • Employee must be committed to delivering excellent customer service and driving a spirit of growth.
  • Manage corporate parts P&L, logistic performance, staff development, fill rates, turn rates and overall KPI as defined by management.
  • Local sourcing initiatives work with purchasing and suppliers as well as provide parts training to the dealer network.
  • Complete cross training of products and assist in the development of new software to support all products.
  • Assist with parts technical as well as superior follow-up and communications for dealers and internal service personnel.
  • Develop marketing plans, stocking incentives and other initiatives to grow the parts business and provide superior After Sales support.
  • Research and recommend the proper parts, solve parts technical issues and work with staff in overseas offices
  • Employee will be responsible for overseeing departmental receiving, stocking, picking and shipping functions to the highest standard.
  • Must be able to develop, motivate and assist all direct report employees. Assist with packing and unpacking of parts when required.
  • Respond quickly to sales and service department’s parts requests.
  • Run various inventory reports to maintain the proper inventory levels.
  • Develop marketing plans, promotions and pricing matrix that achieve market demands and corporate initiatives.
  • Build systems and processes for inventory control and parts management best practices.
  • Some light travel domestically will be required on occasion as well as possible travel internationally.

Skills/Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or 5+ years Heavy Machinery industry experience a must.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and be detailed-oriented with good organizational skills.
  • Must be able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing with internal and external customers.
  • Team player attitude with ability to work with a wide variety of people with different personalities and backgrounds.
  • Thoroughly skilled on MS Office applications (Word, Excel & Outlook), including ability to handle word processing and spreadsheets in an efficient manner.
  • Good mechanical aptitude is a must (auto and/or heavy machinery)
  • Microsoft Office
  • Heavy Microsoft Excel
  • Parts technical knowledge is required.
  • DIS Keystone preferred
  • Bilingual (English and Spanish) is a plus and highly preferred.
