Wonderful opportunity for a recent grad with an Electrical Engineering degree! We are working with a leading manufacturer in San Diego who is in need of a Manufacturing Engineer with an Electrical Engineering degree.

Job Description:

The Associate Manufacturing Engineer (ME) supports execution of project deliverables by assisting with the following:

-Bills of material, routings

-Shop floor documentation

-Design Change incorporation, Purchased Part drawing generation

-Resolving production and quality issues

-Recommend product /process improvements

The Quality Lead must be capable of gaining an understanding of the required inspection checks for a particular Quality Gate and provide consistent documentation of the results. Communication of the inspection results must flow in a timely manner back to the assigned Engineer for any required rework prior to passing the Quality Gate. This role requires a great sense of urgency and sensitivity to ensure high quality engineering deliverables are provided on-time to our customers. Interface with Process Owners and Design Engineers utilizing excellent written and verbal communication skills is imperative.

Additional duties include:

•Involvement in the overall BIQ implementation, including upkeep and maintenance of the QG checklists and metrics

• Coordinating and following up with Design Engineers (DE) and Manufacturing Engineers (ME) to ensure inspections are scheduled and conducted on-time.

• Ensuring all rework is completed by the DE and/or ME within the allotted time frame, so there is no impact to production need dates.

Job Requirements:

Entry-level Manufacturing Engineering (ME) position.

Minimum B.S. in Electrical Engineering within the past 2 years.

Work is closely supervised by a Technical Lead or experienced ME.

Follows specific, detailed instructions and procedures.

Basic knowledge of CAD drafting and fundamentals of 3D parametric solid modeling and data management.

Knowledgeable in engineering principles, design, manufacturing processes, and product configuration management procedures.

Interfaces primarily with various engineering groups and the production floor.

Some contact with quality, suppliers, supply chain, and customers.
