Associate Refurbishment Technician - Fabrication in Mabank, TX at Volt

Job Description

Our client, located in Mabank, TX, is seeking to add pipe welders/fabricators to their growing team.  The positions will be long term contract and the client will provide all the tools necessary to perform the job.  This is a growth opportunity for one of the most prestigious clients in our area!  Benefits are available along with boot reimbursement!

REQUIREMENTS:

Must be able to fabricate from blueprints and maintain stringent tolerances at all times.

•             Operate various metal forming and cutting machines such as Plasma, Shears, Iron Worker, Brakes, Drill Presses, and Saws.

•             Weld all metals, ferrous and non-ferrous. GTAW (TIG) welding processes.

•             Able to pass TIG test as provided by our organization

•             Uses TIG welder to assemble fabricated metal products in an efficient manner to maximize production

•             Produces strong penetrated welds that are smooth, non-porous, and consistent.

•             Follows required procedures and uses appropriate jigs and fixtures to assist in the assembly process.

•             Maintains/produces a level of output that will minimize production delays.

•             Cleans and maintains an orderly work area.

•             Assist other individuals in area when needed.

•             Other Duties as deemed necessary and requested by the supervisor.

•             Intimately familiar with Welding Safety and OSHA requirements

Minimum Qualifications

•             High school diploma or equivalent.

•             Knowledge of the welding process and equipment

•             Math skills including fractions and angles

•             Ability to read tape measures and angle finders.

•             Ability to read blueprint drawings and cut lists.

•             Must be able to lift a minimum of 25 lbs.

•             Day Shift Position with probability of mandatory overtime

•             Must be able to speak and understand English

•             Proven Job stability (no gaps >6 months) & (most >2 years)

Preferred Qualifications Two (2) years experience in industrial pipe fitting and welding

•             Ability to weld vertical, flat, and overhead welds with a good penetration and a quality appearance.

•             Physical ability to work and weld in awkward positions such as kneeling, lying down, and overhead.

•             Ability to operate various shop tools including power and manually operated wrenches.

•             Trained in forklift operation.

•             Trained in overhead crane operation.
