Volt Workforce Solutions has partnered with a large automotive company in Orange County, CA to find a temp to hire Assistant Manager of Purchasing. Collaborate with Business Division and Purchasing management on strategic planning and analysis of complex initiatives and projects. Consistently provide a high-level of customer service, while assisting Business Division with sourcing of qualified suppliers, development of specifications, scope of services development for contracting, and leverage services across multiple divisions where possible. Manage the bid process including solicitation, analysis, negotiations, and evaluation recommendations. Prepare purchase orders and entering in ERP system with all required detail information and terms and conditions according to HMA’s policies and practices. Develop and maintain positive supplier relationships, including review of supplier performance. Analyze the company's purchasing requirements, research market conditions, and recommend improvements for purchasing procedures and strategies. Prepare reports on utilization, expenditures, cost savings and other purchasing activities.

Requirements/Preferred:

*Five to 7 years directly handling the development, negotiation, monitoring, and administration of contracts.
*Finance/legal background.
*Strong analytical skills.
*Advanced written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
*Advanced negotiation skills.
