Volt has an opportunity for you to become part of a prestigious team of professionals. We are seeking Factory Automation Engineer to work onsite at our client’s facility in Fargo, ND. This is a contingent position expected to last 1 year.   

Candidate Responsibilities:

  • Support the factory automation initiatives for manufacturing engineering department.
  • This includes the support of the Manufacturing Execution System.
  • Design of manufacturing mistake proofing smart fixtures utilizing various sensors and vision technologies.
  • Support the integration and connectivity of shop floor tools and systems used to gather pertinent data using product assembly (Smart Connected Factory).

Required Skills/Experience

  • BS in Engineering or related field.
  • Experience with basic controls, sensors and Data Acquisition Systems (DAQ).
  • Experience with data management and tools (SQL).
  • Experience with vision systems edge detection and lighting techniques.
  • Labview or C++/Java/Arduino – software programming is mandatory.

Preferred Skills/Experience:

  • PLC, Robotics, Automation experience.
  • Automation experience in motion control and robotics.
  • Experience with communication protocols (i.e. R232, Ethernet, USB).

Must be available to work on W2 for Volt. No C2C or 3rd Party Vendors please.
