Job Description

Volt is actively seeking a Benefits Manager in Bedford, MA.

 Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Overall benefit administration for the medical, dental, life insurance, disability, flexible spending account and 401(k) plans for multiple locations. Required federal and state filings
  • Overseeing Monthly billings
  • Overseeing Monthly audits
  • Ensuring required maintenance of enrollment data
  • 401K Audit preparation, discrimination testing and 5500 filing
  • ACA and other state insurance filings
  • Ensure proper adherence to governmental benefit regulations including FMLA, COBRA, ADA and HIPAA.
  • Possess a working knowledge and reporting requirements of the Affordable Care Act.
  • Annual preparation and analysis of profit-sharing data.
  • Manage short- and long-term disability claims, including state leave administrations
  • Open enrollment planning and execution
  • Complete compensation and benefits surveys.
  • Direct and supervise the benefits specialist
  • Provide support in other HR related responsibilities and projects as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • 5+ years of benefit/HR experience.
  • Experience with the administration of various benefit plans.
  • Multi-location benefit administration strongly preferred.
  • Critical thinking and analytical problem-solving skills; passion for data-driven project management.
  • Ability to work independently (self-starter) and as part of a team in a multitasking environment.
  • Comfort with all Microsoft Office programs and Internet, with an exceptionally strong background in Excel
  • Resourceful and accountable.
  • Must desire to be work collaboratively in a team environment.
