Job Description

Volt has an immediate job opportunity for a Benefits/ Payroll Clerk in Tulare County. Candidate will provide a wide range of  day to day operations of the group benefits program that include health, dental vision, life insurance and flexible spending programs. Responsible for processing payroll bi-weekly with accuracy.

Job Duties: 

-Process benefit enrollments of new hires and rehires

-Administers various employee benefits programs ( Medical, Dental, Life, Vacation,   Sick and CSL)

- Adjusts time card entries as necessary; calculates retro pay when applicable

- Responds to employee inquiries in timely manner regarding payroll and benefits 

-Train new employee users on self-service payroll system features 

-Other Human Resources projects assigned as needed


Candidate must have 3-5 recent years of payroll and benefits experience as well as Paylocity and basic understanding of payroll taxes.  

Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred

Ability to maintain strict confidentiality 

Excellent data entry and communication skills.  Experience in  Microsoft Office (MS Excel, MS Word,PowerPoint, MS Outlook ) and HRIS systems. Team and detail oriented.
