We are looking to hire 3 Bilingual (French and English) Data Collectors - General Labourers for our End client in Ville Saint-Laurent, QC for a 3 separate weeks' assignment spanning across a 7 week period.

  • First Shift: (probably 7:00 a.m. or 8:00 a.m. start) Monday through Friday/
  • Regular shift: 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. for 8.5 hours a day (8 hours paid time and with ½ hour lunch unpaid)
    • Mon June 4 – Fri June 8 between the hours of 7:00 am to 3:30 pm with Overtime availability.
    • Mon June 25 – Fri June 29 between the hours of 7:00 am to 3:30 pm with Overtime availability.
    • Mon July 16 – Fri July 20 between the hours of 7:00 am to 3:30 pm with Overtime availability.
  • Weekends: The selected Candidate will generally not be scheduled for weekends at all. If necessary however, weekend work will be optional.

  • Manager notes: the selected Candidate MUST be Bilingual and must be able to read and write in English and French for the data entry portion. The requirement is that the candidate be able to provide the data support in both formats.


This position serves as temporary on-site labor in the logistics area of the storeroom; including parts identification and data collection, as well as other implementation needs as assigned. This position ensures that the client’s inventory is validated and catalogued properly and completed within implementation deadlines in order to meet stated ‘go-live’ dates. This person will also proactively reach out to management and the client on parts identification and problem resolution.  

Essential Functions:

  • Follow all site Safety and Security Procedures; perform all assignments and tasks in a safe manner
  • Report any unsafe working conditions to the Lead Implementation before the commencement of any work
  • Perform product identification match against inventory database
  • Research key product identification utilizing a variety of tools to include (but not limited to) database of items, internet research, product catalogue research, and interviews with product end users
  • Maintain close communication with Implementation Leader regarding all customer issues and concerns
  • Perform data collection consistent with the SOP manual, using the data collection tool
  • Provide professional customer service to both customers internal and external; proactively partner with Synovos and plan personnel to assist with parts identification
  • Special projects as assigned


  • Minimum 3 years’ experience working with parts, working in databases, parts identification for warehouse parts; experience with power transmissions, electrical, pipes/valves/fittings, plumbing, etc.
  • It is helpful for the selected candidate to have some parts knowledge and be able to identify parts such as nuts, bolts, belts, valves, pipes, motors, etc. All of these are called MRO (maintenance, repair and operating parts) that go into the machines that create the consumer product. 
  • Experience with MS Word, Excel or similar spreadsheet data entry
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and good problem-solving skills
    • If applying for the site location in Ville Saint-Laurent, QC, candidates are required to be fully bilingual in both French and English (written & spoken)
  • Strong attention to detail, highly organized and ability to adhere to deadlines
  • Experience with product labeling and parts identification
  • Skilled at performing internet research and comparing and contrasting data records to validate parts
  • Ability to work without close supervision and follow SOP guidelines
  • Must be able to speak, read and write English to understand and communicate product information
  • Must be able to pass required safety training
  • Must agree to confidentiality regarding operations
