Immediate Need! We are looking for a positive, self-motivated Experienced Receptionist & Office Assistant for a great agriculture company in Carpinteria CA. This is a Permanent full-time position with great benefits!  

This person will assist in the day-to-day workflow. You will be responsible for assisting and supporting all departments with administrative and office-oriented tasks. Receptionist duties will also be required, answering calls, transferring calls, and assisting anyone that may arrive in person. A successful candidate will play a key role in the success of the organization by facilitating positive professional relationships. This position and reports directly to the Human Resource Manager

DUTIES (among other things):

*Assist with administrative tasks
*Sets appointments and meetings

*Answer phones, take messages and direct calls to appropriate extension

*Provide excellent customer service

*Make new hire application and new hire packets

*Support the HR department in implementing programs to help improve the employee experience
*Resourceful- can research and order supplies for the office
*Assist the HR Dept. in maintaining positive relationships with employees through good employee

*Assist with handout PPE to employees  

*Assist with Hiring process by pre-screening applicants and scheduling interviews

*Assisting with Safety Tailgate Meetings and other training's.

*Responsible for daily walk-through reports

*Responsible for completing weekly promedios

*Responsible for completing OSHA 300 log

*Responsible for EE file maintenance and I-9 document maintenance

*Responsible for filing weekly

*Assist HR Manager with New Hire Onboarding and Benefit Enrollments.

*Assist with Annual Census Reports, and Work Compensation claim reports

*Assist with Time & Attendance tracking, reviewing timesheets and printing timecards for payroll

*Assist with errands, special projects and other tasks as assigned


  • High School Diploma is required
  • 3+ years' administrative support role experience
  • Human Resources experience is preferred 
  • Understanding of HR best practices is preferred
  • Customer-focused attitude, with high level of professionalism and discretion and confidentiality  
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Agriculture environment experience is a great plus +
  • Must be Bilingual (English/Spanish)
  • First Aid CPR Certified is a great +, if you are not you have to be willing to get certified and be willing to administer first aid if needed.

Physical Demands/ Environmental Conditions

  • Must work on a computer for extended periods of time.
  • Light physical effort required on occasion.
  • Extensive use of telephone.
  • Normal day to day business operations including using a keyboard, walking, bending and reaching.
  • Dress Code: Business casual and conservative. Must not be sensitive to noise or smells. Does not mind getting dirty and doing job walks with employees

Pay rate is $ 15.00- $17.00 an hour to start with a pay raise at 90 days if your performance is positive.

Regular pay plus overtime pay will give you $43,000- $49,000 to start  

The schedule is Mon- Fri from 7:00AM – 4:30PM and Saturdays from 7:00AM to 12:00PM noon. That means you work 40 regular hours a week and 10 overtime hours.
