Volt has partnered with a leading apparel/shoe manufacturer and distributor in Santa Fe Springs to help identify an Bilingual Spanish HR Generalist for immediate temp to hire employment.

In this role you would be responsible for supporting day-to-day operations of the HR Office. You will be supporting all areas of HR including departmental development, HRIS, employee relations, training and development, benefits, compensation, organizational development, benefits, compensation, organizational development, payroll inquiries and employment.

Specific duties include:

  • Partners with hiring managers to create effective job descriptions, post jobs on various sites, source candidates, interview, conduct pre­ employment due diligence and on-boarding.
  • Administers the Leave of Absence programs in compliance with applicable laws.
  • Manages all Worker's Compensation Claims including injury incident reports, interactive process and OSHA Log. Partners with Management to pro-actively run Safety program.
  • Assists employees with personnel changes, payroll inquiries, and other HR inquiries.
  • Documents and supports all Employee Relations issues, grievances, and investigations for 300+ employees and makes recommendations to management regarding disciplinary actions and terminations. Counsels employees and managers on the application and interpretation of personnel policies, practices, procedures, and applicable employment law.
  • Assists with the implementation and maintenance of company policies, procedures, and forms.
  • Creates and maintains reports and analytical staffing and retention metrics.
  • Assists in the development and implementation and on-going success of all talent management and employee retention programs including: Introductory Period Reviews, Annual Performance Reviews, and Peer Mentoring Programs. Assists in maintaining, and facilitating training for all levels of staff.
  • Manages annual benefits open enrollment events for DC employees. Plans and maintains employee events, recognition programs, all employee meetings, and other programs and employee engagement events as needed.


  • A bachelors degree in Human Resources Management or related field
  • 5 years+ of progressive HR Generalist experience
  • 5 years+ of experience in employment law, compensation, organizational planning, recruitment, organization development, employee relations, safety, employee engagement, and employee development or related.
  • Experience in the administration of benefits and compensation programs and other Human Resources recognition and engagement programs and processes.
  • Experience in coaching organization managers in the practice of a high level of confidentiality.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in English and Spanish

Position is temp to hire. Hours are Sunday – Thursday 1pm-9pm. Pay rate is up to $60K.
