Job Description

Great entry level Bottling line Operator role for someone looking to get into the wine production business! 

Pay: $13.50hr to start, starting temporary for 90 day! 

Hours: 5:45am working 8-12 hour a day depending on work load.

These duties are rotated among bottling line team.

Case Unloader

  • Move Pallet into position to unpack cases.
  • Unwrap and dispose of plastic and cardboard from pallet.
  • Unpack case onto bulk glass conveyor.
  • Quality check for glass integrity to include cracks, chips, glass imperfections, cardboard and lint and dust inside and outside of glass.
  • Dispose of damaged or cracked glass.

Cork and Capsule Application

  • Manually apply capsules as required.
  • Load capsule magazine for capsule application equipment.

Case Packing

  • Manually pack wine bottles into boxes at the nominal line speed.
  • Perform informal quality inspection checks for proper wine fill levels, bottle code, glass integrity to include cracks, chips, glass imperfections, capsule, and label application.
  • Move cases through the case sealer.

Case Palletizing

  • Quality check case label and date stamp.
  • Tape damaged boxes and cases as needed.
  • Check pallets and move into position.
  • Palletize finished product at the nominal line speed.
  • Record pallet as completed on log sheet.

The above job descriptions are the primary position responsibilities, but are not inclusive to all work to be performed.

May require overtime.

OTHER DUTIES:

  • Adhere to all safety, quality, GMP, and HACCP guidelines.
  • Maintain a clean, productive and professional work environment with staff.
  • Carry out written or verbal instructions.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Work is usually performed in a production/warehouse environment.
  • Must be able to stand, walk, and bend for long periods of time.
  • Simultaneous rapid mental and muscular coordination required.
  • Ability to lift of up to 50 pounds, 2000 times daily in a fast paced environment.

PROBLEM SOLVING REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to verbally express or exchange information.
  • Perform multiple tasks simultaneously while meeting strict deadlines.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • High level of concentration and attention to detail.
  • Ability to speak and understand instructions in the English language.
  • Good verbal communication.
