Job Description

Volt has partnered with a leading company in the medical industry to find a talented Brand Communications Manager to lead their growing Austin, TX team.

The Brand Communications Manager is responsible for leading a team of brand and communications specialists responsible for developing content and creating consistent brand experiences in multiple channels (e.g., digital, social, print, live events, internal communications) and across B2B and B2C audiences. 

Responsibilities

  • Direct the development and implementation of marketing and communication plans in partnership with internal marketing teams
  • Work hand in hand with the Director of Marketing on corporate communication plans, internal communications message development and PR strategy
  • Provide guidance and content oversight to communication materials developed for and placed across multiple channels
  • Oversee Intranet, ensuring continuous content flow and site upkeep
  • Manage vendor relationships in support of marketing and communication initiatives
  • Lead initiatives to optimize company brand and reputation
  • Advise and consult on breaking media stories
  • Anticipate and support the organization’s response to emerging consumer/customer preferences and marketing trends and share insights with the broader marketing team on a quarterly basis
  • In collaboration with stakeholders, develop new internal processes where needed, communicate them to the broader team and champion their adoption internally

Requirements

  • 7+ years of relevant experience (client or agency), preferably with a global organization
  • 2+ years in a role with direct people management responsibilities
  • Experience using a wide variety of marketing communications tools and channels in the delivery of on-brand, B2B and B2C-focused messages
  • Proven history of project leadership and experience driving diverse marketing initiatives in a fast-paced, highly demanding environment 
  • Comfortable with balancing high-level people management responsibilities with “in the weeds” project management work 
  • Excellent facilitation skills to large groups including presentations to senior leadership and sales teams
  • Positive, high-energy attitude with a strong ownership mentality – from plan to execution

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, communications, public relations, business or related major involving marketing and communications skills and critical thinking.
