Job Description


The Business Analyst is responsible for working on special projects to evaluate and improve the company's business processes and controls around VMS Technology in an MSP environment. This individual will work independently on initiatives to gather information, provide solutions, and make decisions that are following the company's goals and standards, and best practices. Projects will be documented, and conclusions presented to all levels of management. The Business Analyst will work with the VMS Manager to create, design, and implement these processes.
This is a full time, permanent, remote position. Candidate can reside anywhere in the Western US.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Gather business requirements, analyze business processes, and put together process documents in support of customers utilizing VMS technology.
  • Work internally as well as with external departments to resolve issues as well as provide solutions that would help facilitate better business operations.
  • Work on special projects assessing business needs and compliance as well as developing workflow processes.
  • Assist in establishing, maintaining and enforcing internal controls.
  • Research and resolve system issues.
  • Prepare, participate in and lead Business Reviews, including preparation of supporting documentation.
  • Work with Excel creating pivot tables and utilizing v-lookups to compile data.
  • Work with and analyze large data sets and complex spreadsheets utilizing PeopleSoft, Excel functions.
  • Must be familiar with standard concepts, practices and procedures within the VMS field.
  • Ensure corporate policies are maintained and implemented.
  • Ability to arrive to work at a specified time.
  • Attendance is an essential function of the job.
  • Work and communicate with all levels of management.
  • Perform special assignments and complete projects as needed.
  • Be flexible, able to work on multiple tasks, and open to changes in a fast-paced environment.



Position Qualifications:
Any combination of education and experience providing the required skill and knowledge for successful performance would be qualifying. Typical qualifications would be equivalent to:

  • Bachelors Degree from a four year college or university.
  • 1 years of related experience with an MSP or VMS services provider required
  • 5 years of analytics required; advanced excel required
  • Experience dealing with a range of customers, from Light Industrial to corporate environment to Aerospace & Defense desired



Knowledge & Skills:

  • Knowledgeable of MSP services, with a strong focus on MSP Operations.
  • Familiar with VMS Technology.
  • Effectively communicate in writing, verbally, including by telephone, and in-person with internal staff, external customers and field employees.
  • Ability to prepare and deliver multiple, varying business presentations.
  • Ability to create complex business correspondence.
  • Ability to identify, asses and solution complex billing issues.
  • Strong computer skills, with a proficiency in Excel, Power Point, Word, SharePoint, and PeopleSoft including creating and running queries.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask.
  • Strong analytical skills required.
  • Highly motivated, dedicated and organized.
  • High level of responsibility.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of information.
