The Business Development Manager has the responsibility for establishing priorities for the revenue growth of existing and new customers. This includes responsibility for establishing new customer relationships and maintaining and growing existing customers. This includes establishing near and short term plans in conjunction with the management team to achieve the company's goals while creating a strong value based brand with the customer base.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Establish sales goals with the management team for growing existing customers and new customer targets.
  • Coordination with management team of annual sales budget.
  • Support of ongoing activities, methodologies, SLA's to meet customer needs and divisional goals.
  • Coordination of preparations for bids, proposals and presentations as well as determining billing rates for customers to obtain optimum income. All billing rates will be approved by management team prior to customer submittal.
  • Generate viable opportunities from new and existing customer. Track and move opportunities through the sales funnel.
  • Create and maintain a business plan with targeted new accounts. Develop strategy for penetrating existing and new clients.
  • Engaged in outside selling daily.
  • Manage assigned territory in an organized and systematic fashion. Develop business through a combination of methods that may include all or in part: research, lead generation, prospecting, networking and in-person appointments with new and active clients.
  • Generate leads through prospecting and cold calling, both in-person and via telephone and other electronic media such as social networking tools and techniques.
  • Responsible for revenue and profitable growth of new and existing customers.
  • Meet with Director of Business Development/Senior Business Development Manager and inside staff on a regular basis to communicate all client service priorities and business/sales opportunities.
  • Provide information on clients or prospects for bids and proposals within assigned territory.
  • Work with other divisions in the selling of Workforce Design application.

Additional Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform special assignments and complete projects as needed.
  • Develop and expand sales competency by continuing education and participation in training and seminars.

Position Qualifications: Any combination of education and experience providing the required skill and knowledge for successful performance would be qualifying. Typical qualifications would be equivalent to:

  • 2 years of Customer Management or Sales experience required.
  • Previous experience servicing, supporting, developing and generating major accounts.
  • Associate's Degree or Bachelor's Degree in comparable field preferred. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
