Job Description

Volt is searching for a motivated sales professional with a track record of success to add to their sales team in San Antonio.

The Business Development Manager is responsible for consistently increasing revenue through the generation of new business.  This is done through both acquiring new clients and expanding our services within existing clients.  Ideal candidate will be adept at communicating with all levels of an organization as they create long-term and mutually beneficial partnerships.  The business development manager will grow revenue profitably by selling value, differentiating our services and positioning Volt as the only choice.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Generate quality contracts/orders from new accounts; l
  • Create and maintain a business plan with targeted new accounts and completely mapped territory and calendar.
  • Develop strategies for penetrating/layering within accounts
  • Engage in outside selling 80% of each day
  • Develop business through a combination of methods that may include all or in part: research, lead generation, prospecting, networking and in-person appointments with new clients
  • Generate leads through prospecting and cold calling, both in-person and via telephone and other electronic media such as social networking tools and techniques
  • Maintain active participation and membership in networking organizations
  • Deliver on all expected Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) both inputs and results as defined by the company and your manager

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years’ successful sales or client relationship management experience, preferably in staffing
  • Must have performed above expectations in a metrics/quota-driven environment
  • Associate’s Degree or Bachelor’s Degree in comparable field preferred; an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered

  • Effectively communicate in writing
  • Effectively communicate verbally including by telephone
  • Effectively communicate in-person with internal staff, external clients and field employees
  • Ability to prepare and deliver business presentations
  • Ability to create complex business correspondence
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of information
