Business Solutions Analyst (BSA)

New Opportunity in Santa Clara, CA. 

Long Term Assignment.

Responsibilities include Identifying and mapping business processes, determining business solutions and capabilities, capturing and documenting requirements and use cases, developing user stories, acceptance criteria in JIRA and work with the Agile team of product managers and scrum master to ensure the delivery of usable and useful solutions that are aligned with business requirements, customer needs, business KPIs and outcomes.  We are looking for a dynamic, innovative individual who possesses both strong technical skills and business process experience and ability to bridge between the business problems and the technology solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Partnering with business requesters and IT business partners to identify and scope high level and detailed requirements in support of project initiation and the defined business case
  • Convert detailed requirements into epics and stories within JIRA and participate in scrum meetings to groom backlog and manage the development of stories from release planning to user acceptance and release
  • Partnering with Project Managers to define the requirements elicitation and documentation plan for approved projects
  • Leading the development of detailed Business Requirements Documents (BRDs) and system Non-Functional Requirements (NFRs) for approved projects including:
    • Facilitating requirements elicitation sessions with the user community
    • Developing and documenting use cases, etc. to demonstrate requirements
    • Determining priorities for all requirements
  • Communicating functional and non-functional requirements to the solution architect
  • Convert business processes into functional automated workflows within various systems
  • Partnering with solution architect to ensure initial alignment between business requirements and IT solution design concepts, including supporting feasibility studies as appropriate
  • Ensuring User Acceptance and Functional Testing is complete and confirms test results meet documented business needs
  • Partnering with the User Experience and Transition Communities of Practice to ensure training plans and materials support overall business requirements
  • Working with product owners to ensure user stories and acceptance criteria are aligned with business needs and processes  

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in relevant course study and/or equivalent
  • 3+ years of experience in an online business role, preferably in a B2B context
  • Strong systems, tools, and process expertise
  • Creative problem solver with ability to gain cross-functional alignment
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills and succinct communications
  • Ability to listen, understand and effectively communicate business requirements
  • Experience in managing complex data problems – acquisition, translation, harmonization, cleansing, and ongoing quality
  • Experience on complex projects involving multiple business units with ability to simplify issues to enable others to make rapid decisions
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced team environment
  • Deep understanding of how to get things done in the matrix global model
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving, and troubleshooting skills to manage complex process and technology issues
  • Must possess passion for learning technically and professionally, and be flexible to take on activities and solutions outside of the core skillset
  • Knowledge of Content Management Systems and supporting solutions is a plus
  • Knowledge of Stibo STEP / WebUI PIM system setup is a strong plus
