The CAD Designer will be responsible for design of mechanical parts, assemblies, and detailed drawings in support of the development of industrial power tools. This person will need to apply knowledge of engineering principles to design components such as motors, housing structures, electrical enclosures, and controls. They may be involved in the fabrication, operation, application, installation, and/or repair of mechanical products. They will rely on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. The candidate will work under the direct supervision of the Engineering Supervisor.  Limited travel may be required.

  • Assists in the design, layout, testing, and evaluation of mechanical and electro-mechanical devices or systems.
  • Performs product development activities including drawing layout and interpretation and implementation of customer specifications and documentation requirements.
  • Provides existing product line support in design activities and/or modification of hardware in production.

Skill Requirements

  • Requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • 2-5 years of experience
  • Proficient with a 3D CAD system, preferable Creo.
  • Working knowledge of SAP a plus.
