POSITION DESCRIPTION:  CAD Engineer with CFD and ANSYS experience needed to develop solid models in support of CFD and Heat Transfer engineers in the Combustion Engineering. 

PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES: This position requires the modification of existing combustion system CAD models to represent the fluid dynamic flow field for use by the CFD/FEA analysts. This modeling requires clean up or removal of small features not required for the fluid dynamic modeling or stress analyses. Responsibilities include interface with CFD/FEA vendors technical support and CFD/FEA analysts. 

QUALIFICATIONS:  The candidate should have a minimum of 5 years’ experience with Pro/Engineer CREO, expert knowledge of 3D parametric solid modeling, surface modeling and data management in Windchill, experience in detailed turbomachinery hardware.

Should be familiar with techniques to de-feature/simplify models for CFD analysis and a strong emphasis on the ability to parameterize ProE models for design automation.

Strong problem solving abilities and a willingness to learn new tools for CAD analysis related to CFD/FEA model generation are essential for this position.

This position prefers a B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or equivalent. Experiences with CFD/FEA software is preferred.
