Job Description

Job duties:

  • Coordinate all aspects of calibrations which includes training of instrument users.
  • Improve calibration performance:
    • calibration system enhancements.
    • control of calibration due date delinquencies.
    • support for instrument issues.
    • bad Actors.
    • liaison with metrology.
  • Provide instrumentation support for audit and metric issues.
  • Review and approve calibration request for correctness (process/product specifications) are met.
  • That all data required are documented per Basic and Standard Operating Procedures and Policies.
  • Coordinate all nonconformance issues such as, status reports, Bad Actors, delinquencies, and NCRs.
  • Support requirements, initiate/submit calibration alerts, including interface with metrology's Maximo system.
  • Advise instrument owners/departments on calibration related issues.
  • Assure that adequate programs exist at the user level to ensure that users are properly trained in the use and care of the calibrated instruments.
  • May perform other duties as assigned.

Requirement: 

  • 2 years associate degree or equivalent technical experience continuing education and/or 4-year degree is desirable.  
  • Good organizational skills, computer knowledge, good people skills.
  • General understanding of Advanced Micro Devices.
  • Knowledge in calibrations and role of instrumentation.
  • Use of various software packages in the development of calibration metrics.
  • Use of Calibration Systems: Maximo, and IDoc, and WWCMS to research instruments in history/records.
