Job Description

This Catalog Specialist I position is a great opportunity for an individual seeking a balanced work schedule with benefits. The Specialist will need to work each weekday, and must be very comfortable with designing or planning.
 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

o Inspire customers by consistently raising the bar on what it means to have the best shopping experience in the world.
o Investigate, document, and present industry findings.
o Act as the design link between our business teams and engineers by ensuring design principles are upheld as the program scales rapidly over time
o Collaborate with engineers to develop scalable algorithms; validate and troubleshoot the same.
o Contribute to new and innovative design products.
o Be an styling expert and act as a sounding board for engineering, marketing and merchandising efforts.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
o B.A. in Interior Design or Architecture, currently working towards a design degree, or equivalent work experience.
o Tech savvy with the capability to learn new software quickly with little oversight.
o Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
o Aptitude for organization and ability to prioritize and deliver results.
o Portfolio required.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
o B.A. in Interior Design or Architecture, currently working towards a design degree, or equivalent work experience.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS
o Experience working in a start-up or other entrepreneurial environment, ability to handle ambiguity.
o Curiosity about  furnishing in an e-commerce space.
o Entry level Customer service experience.
o Entry level Machine Learning skills and/or desire to learn.
o Self-starter with the ability to work independently


EDUCATION
Some higher education experience is preferred.
