Cellar Worker

Pay $14.50hr + $500 Bonus 

Clarksburg, CA

POSITION SUMMARY:  Under close supervision, the Cellar Worker will perform routine cellar work assignments.


  • During crush, operates crusher and presses, moves hoses and equipment, obtains lab samples, completes pump overs, makes additions to tanks, disposes of lees and cleans equipment
  • Follows all written and verbal Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) and adheres to all safe cellar practices
  • Responsible for sanitation in all areas of cellar operations including sterilizing tanks, and other equipment related to the production of wine.
  • Pressure washes tank exteriors and all cement areas in the tank farm
  • Moves hoses and winery equipment as needed to complete work orders
  • May make additions to wine according to work order instructions ensuring all measurements are accurate.
  • May assist in the shipping/receiving of bulk wine from tanker trucks
  • May operate a forklift
  • May assist in barrels and bottling as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned


  • Cellar experience preferred
  • Must be able to work all shifts
  • Effective communication skills with good reading, writing and math skills
  • Must be able to work at heights
  • Ability to drive a truck and operate a forklift
  • Capable of strenuous physical labor for a full shift.
  • Must be able to lift and carry at least 75 pounds and stand for up to 10 hours.
  • May drive to other facilities and this will require a valid driver’s license and the ability to be insured by the company’s insurance provider.


The cellar presents a challenging environment: hot and cold, wet, slippery and often noisy; long hours, particularly during harvest; handling hazardous materials; lifting up to 75 lbs, pulling wine hoses, pushing mobile pumps, going up and down stairs, ladders and mobile platforms, bending, twisting and walking; entry into confined spaces.
