Job Description

Volt Workforce Solutions is currently hiring a qualified Chassis Electrical Integration Engineer for a large Automotive company in the Orange County, CA area!!

This position is responsible for leading the electrical integration of electronic Chassis systems into the vehicle, including but not limited to Brake Controller, Electric Park Brake, Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), Electric Power Steering and other features. The Electrical Integration Engineer also assists with Functional Safety development for Chassis Electronic Systems by helping the Chassis Subsystem DRE develop the safety case and HARA analyses and monitoring progress during development. This engineer will also assist with problem diagnosis and resolution.

Required Qualifications:

  • Education and Experience: BS Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical Engineering preferred) minimum
  • Service technician certifications a plus
  • 5-10 years combined experience in automotive Chassis Electrical System development, preferably Brake Control Systems, at recognized OEs or Tier 1 suppliers;
  • Strong knowledge of brake control and electric park brake systems at the system architecture or system development level. Experience with basic objective brake system measurement tools, equipment and data analysis.
  • Familiarity with CAN network function and communications protocols. Demonstrable experience in utilizing CAN bus logs and identifying anomalous signals to root-cause system faults and failures
  • At least 5 years’ experience in one or more of the following development environments; Visual Studio, Vector Canalyzer, CAPL,  Labview , MatLab, Simulink, PiSnoop.
  • At least 5 years’ in one or more of the following communication protocols; ODX, UDS, CAN, LIN, GMLAN, OBDII, KWP2000.
  • Experienced in working across activities (i.e., with Electrical, Software and Manufacturing engineers as well as field service engineers and technicians,) and maintaining good relationships while root-causing complex problems
  • Candidates with experience with driver assistance and autonomous driving braking features will be highly desirable
