Job Description

Volt Workforce Solutions seeks entry level Assembly Technician for local electonic manufacturers, Work for some of the Simi Valleys most recognizable organizations.

SUMMARY:

Assemble complex  mechanical components sub-assemblies with an emphasis on quality, safety, and meeting manufacturing deadlines.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

NOTE:  The Assembly Technician performs the following duties on a wide range of products and equipment.

  • Assemble complex  mechanical components sub-assemblies according to drawings, bills of material, schematics and/or standard procedures.
  • Assembles intricate and expensive parts using hands, hand tools, jigs or other tooling.
  • Performs complex mechanical alignments to the established quality standards and other procedures that are used during the assembly of the products.
  • Document assembly and test work instructions which complement the drawings and bills of material to insure the efficient and consistent completion of the sub-assemblies.
  • Complete a quality inspection and fill out a quality checklist for each sub assembly.
  • Identifies and seeks to resolve quality issues, concerns and suggest improvements.
  • Maintain class 10,000 clean room requirements.
  • Other duties as assigned.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Speak, read and write English.
  • Ability to interpret blueprints, drawings, schematics, technical procedures, and other related material.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and follow safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. 
  • Ability to follow written and verbal directions to perform to the quality standards.
  • Ability to apply basic mathematical skills for problem solving.
  • Proficient in use of crimpers, torque wrenches, soldering irons, calipers, dial indicators, and other assembly hand tools.
  • Ability to stand for extended period of time (70%).
  • Ability to perform repetitive duties.
  • Must be willing to consent to drug and background requirements.
