Job Description

VOLT is seeking a Cloud Data Architect in Charleston, SC to support Client’s health analytics/health informatics technologies team and build/implement breakthrough solutions that help improve healthcare delivery for millions of active, reserve and retired militaries and their beneficiaries worldwide.

We’re seeking individuals who know and understand healthcare delivery, advanced health data analytics, healthcare electronic records end to end.

We need experienced healthcare focused professionals who know and understand the importance of improving electronic healthcare records and healthcare records management.
The Cloud Data Architect designs shared information environments involving models or concepts of information.

Develops technical solutions to complex problems and applies extensive technical expertise and knowledge of other related disciplines.

Develops data models for optimal performance in databases.
Designs data structures for data interchange.
Develops data standards and converts data to controlled vocabularies.
Develops metadata structures including dictionaries, taxonomies and ontologies.
Develops semantic data and metadata representations.
Designs information governance policies for Normalizing, Cleansing and Standardizing the legacy data for retrieval and viewing purposes.
Designs integration with MHS Cerner Health EINTENT capabilities.

Bachelors and nine (9) years or more experience;

Masters and seven (7) years or more experience;

PhD or JD and four (4) years or more experience.
Experience designing implementations moving data into Amazon Web Services (AWS) Government Cloud environment.
Experience working with Big Data in a Cloud Environment. Deployment of platform using Containerization, Kubernetes and or Microservices within the DoD cloud environment.
Design platform to be Risk Assessed, accredited and with ATO to reside in a DHA Cloud environment.
Must have experience in at least 5 (five) the following technologies.
o AWS Government Cloud
o Amazon RedShift
o Amazon RDS Aurora
o NetApp
o Data Warehousing
o Data Lakes
o Tableau
o Talend
o Informatica
o Red Hat OpenShift and Ansible
o Python
o Spark
Understanding of Methods and Techniques to create, analyze, extract, convert and populate data structures in Data Lakes and Data Warehouses for Health Data.
Experience with full open source Hadoop stack, Cluster Management, Big Data Repositories (Warehouses, Lakes) and Cloud-Based Data Management Tools, Principles and Methodologies. Custom database sources could include SQL, Oracle, AWS Red Shift, PostGreSQL, Mongo DB, etc.)
Expertise in and with Defense health clinical/medical data working in the healthcare industry.
Must be Ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance

Understanding of HIPPAA Rules and Regulations.
Experience in Health Systems Data such as Electronic Health Records (EHR) or Military Health (MHS) systems.
Previous experience with any of the following systems is highly preferred:
o Composite Health Care System – CHCS
o Surgical Scheduling System - S3
o Anesthesia Reporting Monitoring Device - ARMD
o Armed Forces health Longitudinal Technology Application -AHLTA/Clinical Data Repository - CDR
Ability to obtain Secret clearance
Travel up to 10%
