Manufacturing Engineer/CNC Programmer

We are looking for a talented Manufacturing Engineer to oversee and improve manufacturing processes.  The engineer’s responsibilities include identifying areas of improvement, maintaining high levels of manufacturing and product quality, designing new products and processes, as well as, ensuring cost-efficiency and conformance with regulatory standards.   

  • Develop manufacturing processes with support from engineering team for all parts manufactured at Lab Medical according to ISO standards and E2 system requirements.
  • Create full process documentation including routers, drawings, BOM for defining manufacturing processes.
  • Create CNC programs for the Milling Department using ESPRIT as primary software or Mastercam as secondary.
  • Design and develop fixtures and gages to support manufacturing process in CNC/Milling Department.
  • Daily support for operators in CNC/Milling Department; problem solving and machining process improvement.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 10 years of experience as progressive Manufacturing Engineer/CNC Programmer
  • SolidWorks, ESPRIT and/or MasterCam XB experience required.
  • 5-axis CNC milling programing experience required.
  • Medical Devices/Instruments background required.
  • Self-starter, work independently and team player with minimal supervision.
  • Provide technical assistance to existing production processes.
  • Identify system problems and implement improvement programs to eliminate issues.
  • Develop and implement new manufacturing processes.
  • Participate in Lean and Six Sigma activities as a method of creating process improvements.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues through methodical, data driven analysis, and intuition.
  • Identify opportunities for product and process improvements.
