CNC Programmer/Machinist
The CNC Milling Machinist must be capable of setting up and running Mazak or Fanuc controlled horizontal and/or vertical milling centers.
Responsibilities:
• Set up horizontal milling machines (Mazak) and related equipment
• Working knowledge of Mazatrol Smooth G and Nexus controls required
• Knowledge of Fanuc Series 18i-M and 18-iMB controls a Plus
• A working understanding of G and M Code functions
• The ability to link multiple machining operations to each other
• Manage tool list, tooling offsets, pallet fixturing and related tooling within the cell
• Demonstrates a working knowledge of speeds and feeds and a working knowledge of cutting tools and their applications
• Work closely with the programming department to develop and ensure proper horizontal machining techniques
• Read prints and process travelers without supervision
• Read and understand work instructions and maintenance procedures
• Knowledge of Inspection equipment to measure and record all dimensional features as required
• Follow the direction of the Cell lead
• Maintains area, equipment and tooling in a neat and orderly condition, while exercising good machining practices at all times
• Understand and adhere to ISO and Quality policies
• Required to lift or move objects up to 40lbs
Education / Experience / Skills:
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• Minimum of 5 years general shop experience as a CNC operator
• Must have a minimum of 5 years’ experience as a CNC set-up person
• Must be authorized to work in the United States (REQUIRED)
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos in English
