Job Description

Are you looking for a Challenging new career in a dynamic Accounting Department?  Our client is adding to their team and they are looking for a Rock Star Collections Specialist!

You will be responsible for maintaining a high visibility US and international accounts including processing and collections in a fast paced goal oriented department. This position will maintain a clean AR and work with departments to resolve all chargebacks within 90 days.  In this role you will maintain strong relationships with customers as well as working across all departments within our organization. Provide timely and accurate reporting and distribute to related departments. Assist in credit reviews and customer on-boarding. Lead team meetings and meet defined goals and activity metrics.  Prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities and meet deadlines.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES   may include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Documenting daily collections activity
  • Identify Customer that may need credit limit adjustments
  • Make collection calls and follow up
  • Research and resolution of payment disputes
  • Weekly & monthly reporting to direct supervisor
  • Dispute invalid deductions and follow up on status of repayment.
  • Work with internal and external partners to identify and reduce/eliminate issues that result in chargebacks
  • Assist in the preparation of chargebacks
  • Maintain accurate reporting
  • Communicate potential bad debt or financial exposure
  • Work closely, lead and participate in regular meetings with Sales, Logistics & Marketing teams
  • Analyzing and assessing the creditworthiness of accounts using external credit risk management tools/reports
  • Provide excellent and considerate customer service to external and internal customers
  • Meet defined department goals and activity metrics

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Associates degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school and/or training: or equivalent education & experience

  • 3-5 years high volume corporate collections experience.
  • Knowledge of billing and collections procedures
  • Strong problem solving and communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task with high volume workload
  • Accounts Receivable experience
  • Strong attention to detail, goal oriented
  • Experience with Oracle or another ERP System
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Commitment to excellent customer service
